A recent burglary spike in the Margaret River area has led to charges being laid against three 16 year old males.
According to Margaret River Police Acting Officer in Charge Brett Sowden, the trio were charged with a total of 46 offences.
“The main offender being charged with nine Aggravated Home Burglaries, ten counts of Stealing, two counts of Trespass, and charges of Stealing of a Motor Vehicle and No Authority to Drive.”
A total of 23 charges were laid against the young men after Police received valuable information from locals.
“The identification of these offenders was made possible by information supplied by the public, with the extent of their offending realised once the offender’s fingerprints and DNA had been taken,” said Sergeant Sowden.
“Two search warrants were executed at different addresses and much of the stolen property has now been recovered and returned to its rightful owners.
