Barker best of Wednesday’s women at golf club

What more could we ask for than beautiful summer weather for golf at the Margaret River Golf Club and Course. 

This week’s Tuesday Veterans 9-hole Stableford competition we saw first place going to Tony Dean on 23 points, in second was Ray Atcheson on 22 points and in third place we had Peter Brennan on 21 points. 

Wednesday’s Women’s 18 hole stableford competition was held this week, and Laurie Barker took first place on 38 points, while second spot went to Linda Lister on 37 c/b points. 

Third place was secured by Maggi Foy on 37 points. 

Thompson Estate Winery kindly sponsored our Thursday Men’s Scroungers 18 hole stroke event.

In first place was Robert Young on 65 points, while second place went to David Reid on 69 points and Keith Bourke in third on 70 c/b points. 

Friday’s mixed 9-hole stableford saw First Man won by John White on 18 points.

First Woman went to Barbara Webster on 18 c/b points and Overall Third place went to Jocelyn Pyatt on 16 c/b points.

Saturday’s Men’s 18-hole Stableford Event was sponsored by After Hours Wine and Phil Potter.

The end of competition saw Peter Nicholls coming in first place on 38 points, David Glasson in second place on 37c/b points and John Bell in third on 37 c/b points.
