INXS was without a doubt one of Australia’s biggest and best rock groups.
Honouring the original band’s legacy, Don’t Change: Ultimate INXS Tribute has created a show full of memorable moments and chart-topping hits.
The group will rock Settlers Tavern, Margaret River on Thursday, January 31 as part of the Party to XS 2018/19 Summer Tour.
The two-hour production takes concert-goers on a journey through INXS’s extensive catalogue of hits, spanning three decades.
INXS fans get to see electrifying renditions of Never Tear Us Apart, Original Sin, Listen Like Thieves, Burn for You, Need You Tonight, Pretty Vegas, I Send a Message, Devil Inside, and many more.
Mirroring INXS’s musicality, costuming, and staging, the show transports audiences back to a time when “live music was king”.
Frontman Blair Dwyer, one of six musicians in the group, said the show resonated with people from all over the country.
“I’m from Perth originally, and I spent a lot of my childhood in the South West, so I’m looking forward to bringing this show over from the Eastern states to my home,” he said.
“INXS made a point of having each record sound different to the last.
“We love the freedom that comes with performing songs for INXS fans, they already know and love this music.
“The shows don’t feel like gigs they feel like parties, they’re about people reminiscing about the music they grew up on.”
Dwyer and his bandmates first came together three years ago in Sydney.
Since then, the group has toured the country and appeared on Foxtel’s The Tribute Show.
They recently performed to 20,000 people at Hunter Stadium, as the pre-game entertainment for the Newcastle Jets.
Thrilled by the big crowds and adoring supporters, Dwyer said every concert was a blessing.
“All the music I ever did was done with the ultimate goal of being able to perform in front of people who are just having a good time, and now I’m doing that,” he said.
“It’s the most rewarding show I have ever been a part of.”
