Chidgey best of Margaret River's Sunday golfers

Tuesday Veterans Stroke 9-hole competition at the Margaret River Golf Club saw Robert Williams secure first place with a score of 33 points. 

Terry Halsall came in second with 34 c/b points, and third was Ray Atcheson with a score of 34. 

On Wednesday the women’s 18 hole stableford competition had Elizabeth Dawson first on 36 c/b points. Second was Megan Booth also on 36 c/b points, Linda Lister third on 36 points. 

Thursday Men’s Scroungers 18-hole Stableford was sponsored by the McMillian Nolan Group. It was a warm day for golf and Dave Glasson took first place honours on 38 points, while Mark Tugwood was second on 36 points and Tim Fox third on 35 c/b points. 

Friday’s mixed 9-hole stableford saw John White First Man with 19 points. First Woman was Janice James on 18 c/b points while Overall Third went to Peter Brennan on 18 points. 

Saturday’s 18-hole Mens Stableford event sponsored by Advanced Hearing had Jon Bowden in first place on 40 points. Robert Williams was second on 39 points and Steve Owen took third spot on 38 c/b points. 

Sunday’s mixed 18-hole Stableford event was sponsored by Margaret River Wellness Centre – Dr Clay Farley. 

Ian Chidgey was first on 37 c/b points, Adrian Walsh was second on 37 points and Bonice Tollafield (Cottesloe Golf Club) was third on 36 c/b points.
