The Terpstra family will host their annual community-supported Backyard Pink Stumps Day on Saturday, February 16 at their property in Busselton.
Speaking to the Mail this week, Tim Terpstra said there was an expected 200-300 people attending the event.
“We’re going to turn our pitch pink, have a fun day of cricket and raise funds to make life a little bit easier for individuals and families experiencing breast cancer.
“We hope to have a day of Twenty20 fun with friends, family and the community at our home in Busselton; including a sausage sizzle, an auction, kids entertainment and two games of cricket.”
Mr Terpstra said local businesses in the region had been instrumental in creating the massive fundraiser.
“We have to give our thanks to The Beer Farm, Cloutz Event Hire, Busselton Toyota, More Cafe, Forest Adventures, Cowaramup Brewery, Busselton Remedial Massage, Local Advantage, Xscape to the Cape, Nutrimetics-Tasha White, Ortons Bunbury, Home Timber and Hardware Margaret River, Doterra, Perth Scorchers, and Coles Vasse who have all helped us to organise the event.
“Last year we raised just under $2000, and this year we hope to total more than $2500.”
