A Harvey Bulls football player passed away last night.
Harvey Bulls Football Club recently released a statement saying they were deeply saddened by the passing of player Lachlan "Lockie" Hernaman, 20, who collapsed suddenly at a training session last night.
"The Club offers its deepest condolences and sympathies to Lockie's family, friends and teammates and is working with the West Australian Country Football League and West Australian Football Commission to offer support and counselling services," they said.
"A decision on whether our game will go ahead this weekend will be communicated as soon as possible."
The Augusta Margaret River Hawks Football Club offered their sentiments via Facebook on Wednesday.
"Sincere condolences to the Hernaman family, friends and The Harvey Bulls Football Club on your loss," the statement read.
"From the Committee, Players and Members of the Augusta Margaret River Football & Netball Club."
WA police confirmed a 20-year-old man was taken to Harvey Hospital just after 7pm last night, earlier today.
It is believed that the man collapsed while at football training in Harvey. He was conveyed to hospital by St John Ambulance but later died.
The circumstances of his death have been deemed non-suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
