The finalists in this year's Australian Hotels Association WA Steak Sandwich competition have been announced, with Settlers Tavern landing on the shortlist.
The sandwich is made with a local 150gm black angus rump, bacon jam, smoked tomato chutney, rocket, aioli, pickles and scratchings.
Country finalists also include the Northcliffe Hotel, The Bayview Bar in Bunbury and Lancelin's Endeavour Tavern.
AHA CEO Bradley Woods said the competition was fierce, with an enormous number of votes being received from across the state to determine the top eight venues.
The Settlers team will travel to Perth to take part in a live cook-off at Crown Perth on 14 and 15 May.
