The latest locally grown offerings have appeared this season at the Margaret River Farmer's Market in the form of a new Olive Oil Masterclass.
The classes, limited to 12 people per session, are being held in celebration of this season's olive oil harvest.
"We often forget that we are an oil-rich region... olive oil, that is," explained Farmers Market coordinator Kat Lombardo.
"This is an opportunity to learn about the finer points of olive oil from right here in the South West.
"We have two experienced judges of olive oil - Jill James and Thelma Burnett - who will take our classes on a discovery of the products available in our own backyards."

Much like a wine tasting experience, participants will learn how to properly smell and taste olive oil, to identify a number of indicators of freshness and quality.
"In the workshop we will also be explaining all sorts of findings on the benefits of olive oil and in particular, the benefits of buying locally produced oil as opposed to some of the stuff that comes from overseas and is quite old and stale," said Ms Lombardo.
"There are a number of olive oil producers in the region, and some that aren't currently seen at the market.
"This is a great chance to better understand the industry, why olives are grown in the South West and why it is important to source produce from your own backyard whenever possible."
Ms Lombardo said there was a push across the region and amongst market patrons to add to their knowledge around local food.
"If we can teach people how to use local food, how to be resourceful with what's in the fridge and in the cupboard, about seasonal shopping and reducing waste, we are providing our patrons with the tools to make informed decisions in their homes."
The masterclasses are part of an ongoing plan to include cooking classes, product demonstrations and other workshops from producers and experts.
The Olive Oil Masterclasses are on Saturday June 8 (9.30am - 10.30am + 10.30am - 11.30am). Entry is free, however bookings are essential due to the limited number of spaces.
