Some of the state's best hockey players converged upon Bunbury Hockey Stadium for an afternoon of fun and games.
Federal Member for Forrest Nola Marino, Southern Ports general manager, Bunbury Darren Lambourn, and Kookaburras player/local superstar Jake Harvie were on-hand to unveil the stadium's new Tiger Turf.
A strong crowd gathered to watch two Premier One - Women's teams - Westside Wolves and Lions - go head-to-head.
The Wolves slotted the game's first goal, before Lions rallied to secure the equaliser. Claiming one goal each in the second half, the teams shook hands after playing out a 2-2 draw.
The Premier League Regional Round then served up a thrilling clash between Westside's Men's team and YMCC.
Jake and his brother, Tom Harvie, starred for the Wolves in their comfortable 4-1 win.
Last weekend's South West Hockey League - Women's double header saw Towns/South defeat Exies 1-0, Associates take down Robins 2-1, and Marist and Boyanup tie 1-1.
Towns/South put five unanswered goals past Capel after Boyanup destroyed Exies 6-0. Capel then lost to Robins 1-4.
In Round three of the SWHL - Men's division, Boyanup beat Towns/South 2-1 and Marist and Exies drew 1-1.
The South West Strikers slipped to fifth on the Promotion One -Women's ladder following their heart-breaking loss to Fremantle in Round Five.
After travelling up to Fremantle, the Strikers clinched two goals and held a decisive lead at half time.
The home side came back with three consecutive goals, and went on to win 3-2.
The Strikers will look to redeem themselves against Rockingham in Round 10.
