As part of the Margaret River Pro, the Margaret River skate park will be transformed to host the Healthy Habitz event from 27-31 May, presented by Drug Aware.
The skate park event will feature youth-focused activities including live music, a skate competition, 3 on 3 basketball and arts projects to engage and educate participants around Drug Aware's 'look after your mates' campaign. The event will be supported by volunteers from community service providers including the local Drug Action Group, mental health provider LAMP Inc, and Margaret River Senior High School.
These partnerships have been pivotal in establishing Drug Aware advocates in the WA surfing community with service providers having the opportunity to improve ongoing education and services around the Drug Aware message in the South West.
There will be over $5,000 in prizes to be won as well as jewellery and tie dye workshops, movies, spray art and free snacks. The action kicks off daily from 3.30pm - 6.00pm at the Skate Park and Zone Room.
