Well I'll be damned, superstar Charlize Theron and comedy genius Seth Rogen do make for a lovely on-screen couple.
In Long Shot, Theron steps graciously into the role of US Secretary of State Charlotte Field.
Neglecting her personal life, Field spends an exorbitant amount of time keeping the White House intact.
After reuniting at a lavish party, Field hires politically-charged, unemployed journalist Fred Flarsky (Rogen) to help make her more appealing to the masses.
Although reminiscent of romantic-comedies past and present (Pretty Woman, in particular), Long Shot is an engaging, heart-warming fairytale.
Rogen is full of manic energy, while Theron (as always) is effortlessly charming.
O'Shea Jackson Jr., June Diane Raphael, Ravi Patel, and Bob Odenkirk shine as some of the movie's better supporting characters.
Alexander Skarsgard and Andy Serkis, however, fail to impress.
Long Shot doesn't break the mould, but still delivers many big laughs and nice moments.
