The Grove Distillery & Brewery blossomed into life in 1995 and was named after the owner's love for their previous location that used to be an olive grove.
Husband and wife duo Steve and Val Hughes first started producing wine and method champenoise sparkling with the family hand planting 25,000 vines and 6000 trees in September of 1995.
They saw their first commercial release in 2001.
A few years later a friend gifted the family a large basket of lemons which led them to create spirit base liqueurs, evolving the business into the first distillery in the Margaret River Wine region.
"Our son made Lemoncello. That was the beginning of the evolvement into distilling," Val said.
Family owned and operated, The Grove Distillery & Brewery is a small operation and despite its size has produced international and national gold award winning spirits and brew that the family considers as some of the best craft beer in the region.

"We have a wide range of spirits, pre-mixed cocktails, liqueurs and craft beer that are all available for tasting at cellar door," Val said.
"And if you want to know a little more about the distilling process, we offer a talk and taste in the Still House Monday to Friday."
If drinking isn't your thing, stone-fired pizza and home-made scones served with jam and cream can be enjoyed in the café.
Like most local business owners, Steve and Val like to help where they can and are supporters of True Brothers Social Club who support people in need throughout the South West and goldfields.
"This year we have a True Brothers collection box at the counter to help raise money for a children's Christmas party," Val said.
"I'm also passionate about the Blue Tree Project and hope to have a Wilyabrup blue tree by the end of the year."
