Internationally acclaimed concert pianist Roman Rudnytsky will arrive back in Margaret River next week for his first performance in the new HEART performance space.
Rudnytsky is a graduate of America's most prestigious music conservatory, The Juilliard School in New York.
He was born into a family of professional musicians and began the study of piano at age four and gave his first full recital at age seven.
Rudnytsky is a prizewinner of ten international and national piano competitions and has been a soloist with many orchestras around the world.
In addition, he has played many recitals as the classical pianist on nearly 70 cruises of P&O and Cunard ships from the UK.
Roman has toured to Australia twenty times and has performed close to 600 concerts from the Sydney Opera House to many small country and outback towns.
In 1993, SBS produced a documentary of his Australian premiere performance with the SBS Youth Orchestra called 'Discovering Liszt' which was broadcast several times on television.
In addition to his concert performances, Rudnytsky was a University professor of piano and music in the United States as well as Artist-in-Residence at the University of Melbourne and the University of Wollongong.
Rudnytsky last performed at the Margaret River Cultural Centre in 2017 and this time he will be showcasing works from Brahms, Beethoven, Albeniz, Chopin, Bach, Grieg, Copland, Debussy and Liszt.
Roman Rudnytsky will perform at Margaret River HEART on Wednesday August 14. The bar opens at 6pm and the concert commences at 7pm.
