On Sunday 25th August the Margaret River Junior Gropers Rugby Union Club held it's first home game.
The sunshine welcomed Busselton Junior Beetles, Bunbury Junior Bulls and Bunbury Barbarians (Red and Black teams) to play on Nippers and Main Oval. U6, U8, U10 and U12s all played stellar rugby, showing home supporters why the South West Junior Rugby is building momentum.
The Junior Gropers thoroughly enjoyed the limelight, showing family, friends, senior Gropers players and supporters the skills they have learnt over their debut season.
All of the clubs enjoyed playing on a different ground, and with the success of the day meaning more future home games, the Club eagerly awaits its new pitch, set for use next year.
Coaches Stephen and Narelle Rodley would like to take this opportunity to thank the children, parents and senior Gropers for the support in helping make this season, and as this season winds down, look forward to an even bigger 2020.
