WA artists have been quick off the mark to enter next year's Sculpture by the Bay competition, held every March long weekend as part of the annual Dunsborough Arts Festival.
Coordinator Vicky Small said entries opened early this month, attracting interest from artists who have entered past competitions, and from artists who plan to enter for the first time.
"Dunsborough's Sculpture by the Bay has grown to be the biggest event of its kind in regional WA, and current indications from the interest we are receiving are that next year will be another stellar event," she said.
The 2020 competition will include a special section for small sculptures, introduced for the first time this year.
"The inaugural small sculpture section this year was a wonderful success, so we are pleased to be able to include it again next year with local businesses Christian Fletcher and Nick Good NowGen generously agreeing to sponsor it.'"
Ms Small said support from sponsors was vital for the success of Sculpture by the Bay and welcome any interest from new sponsors for next year.
Expressions of interest for the 2020 Sculpture by the Bay and the Small Sculpture Prize will be received until November 25.
Online entry forms can be accessed on the event website sculpturebythebay.com.au, with more information on Facebook.
