It's back on again - the hugely popular annual Margaret River Montessori School Cow Pat Lotto will return to the 90th anniversary of the Margaret River Agricultural Show, held at Gloucester Park on October 18 and 19.
Tickets are on sale now, with a chance to share in a wide range of prizes including the $8,000 cash first prize.
One of the most popular events on the show calendar, the quirky raffle-style competition sees ticket holders assigned one of 600 squares in a grid created over a paddock, where a single cow is allowed to roam until the animal 'selects' a square by depositing a cowpat.
A grand prize of $8000 will be up for grabs, as well as runner up prizes including cash and local wine packages.
Funds raised will be directed towards the maintenance of the boardwalk and wetlands areas at the school and the ongoing replacement of playground equipment to natural, timber-based structures.
Tickets offer a 1 in 150 chance of winning a prize, and the lottery will be "drawn and pooped" live at the Margaret River Show.
During school holidays, tickets can be purchased from the Margaret River Hemp Co, and Lloyds Margaret River. For more information visit www.margmont.wa.edu.au
