The annual Augusta & Districts Spring Show will bloom a shade of pink this weekend, to mark the town's Pink Up campaign to support the McGrath Foundation.
The show is held over two days and features exhibits of locally grown fruit and vegetables, colourful blooms and countless plant varieties as well as arts and crafts, metalwork, photography and children's exhibits.
As well as judging in categories including roses, pot plants, hanging baskets, floral art, jams and preserves, cooking, knitting, crochet and spinning & weaving, the Show will host the popular annual Best Pet Competition at 2.45pm on Sunday. New to the competition this year is the Pinkest Pet category, with pets and owners dressing in their finest pink outfits to compete against fellow locals.
The Augusta Spring Show is on Saturday October 19 from 1pm to 5pm and Sunday October 20 from 9am to 3.30pm at Augusta Centennial Hall.
$5 entry per person includes morning or afternoon tea. Spring Show Schedules are available from the Augusta Newsagency.
