Students at Margaret River Primary School have been busy learning and practicing this year's Music Count Us In program song 'We Are', culminating in a school performance.
The event is held on Celebration Day every year and involves students from schools around Australia singing together on the same day.
"The idea is to get children involved at every level, entering songs for selection, working with producers and songwriters, then producing the final song," explained a school spokesperson.
"Students then have access to learning the song through words, Auslan and Indigenous language, allowing all children to be involved.
"It's like all the children in Australia wrapping a big arm around each other and singing an uplifting song together.
'Thank you to Amy Johnstone and Amy Murray for teaching students, as well as teachers learning the song within classes, and especially to the fantastic students who showed how wonderfully well they knew the singing and signing of 'We Are'.
Miss Hel Bel was beaming with pride for the school's awesome participation for yet another year, making it 15 and counting for MRPS."
