Bunbury Detectives have charged two people with possessing and distributing child exploitation material following an investigation into the contents of a seized electronic device.
It is alleged a forensic analysis of various electronic devices uncovered thousands of images, including several categories of child exploitation material.
A 43-year-old man from Busselton and a 39-year-old woman from Margaret River have both been charged with two counts of possessing child exploitation material, distributing child exploitation material, possessing an indecent or obscene article and carnal knowledge of an animal.
The 39-year-old woman is due to appear before the Bunbury Magistrates Court on January 23.
The man has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before the Bunbury Magistrates Court on February 4.
