The PathWest collection centre at Margaret River Hospital is changing its opening hours to better meet the needs of the community.
From Monday 20 January, the collection centre will open earlier to meet the increasing number of patients requiring blood tests in the morning.
After fasting overnight, we know people are eager to have their test completed as soon as possible, so we are changing our operating hours.
- Martin Taylor, PathWest
PathWest Acting Operation Manager Regional Services Martin Taylor said more patients are requiring tests earlier in the morning rather than in the afternoon.
"After fasting overnight for a test, we know people are eager to have their test completed as soon as possible the next morning, so we are changing our operating hours to meet that need," Mr Taylor said.
"PathWest is always looking for ways to improve, and this minor change in our operating hours will have a hugely positive outcome for people using our services."
The collection centre will now operate from 7.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday and from 8.30am to 10.00am on Saturdays. For more information email Busselton.pathwest@health.wa.gov.au.
