Supporters of Just Home Margaret River and garden lovers were out in force on Saturday as they took the rare chance to view one of the region's most beautiful garden spaces.
The Heavenly Hydrangea garden party welcomed a large band of volunteers, including musicians and artists to create what organiser Rae Pethica said was "really quite magical".
"It was definitely a huge community effort with a great number of volunteers, talented musicians and emcee and incredible artists," she said.
The Wilyabrup property is a favourite wedding location and features stunning formal gardens surrounded by natural Australian bushland.
Just Home is a volunteer movement for housing justice to address homelessness and housing stress in the South West region.
Just Home Margaret River chairperson Naomi Godden said the group was thrilled with the event and the funds raised.
"We are very thankful to the hosts, organisers, volunteers, supporters, donors and attendees," Ms Godden said.
"The funds will be used to continue our important work in Augusta Margaret River to tackle homelessness and housing stress, including our frontline work to support people to access secure, affordable housing, and facilitating the development of more social housing in our community."
Community members who were unable to attend the event but would like to support Just Home can make a tax deductible donation online at www.givenow.com.au/justhome
