WA Police are coordinating the search for a man in his 20's who was swept off rocks at Injidup Nature Spa near the end of Wyadup Road in Yallingup at around 5.10pm on Monday June 29, 2020.
The man was standing on rocks within metres of the ocean when a large wave broke over the rocks, knocking him into the ocean.
Police from Dunsborough and Busselton failed to located the man.
The RAC Rescue Helicopter conducted a search of the area using FLIR and spot lights in failing light but was unable to locate him.
The search will resume after first light on June 30 utilising assets from Dunsborough Police, Police Air Wing, RAC Rescue helicopter, Naturaliste Volunteer Marine Rescue and Smiths Beach Surf Club.
The conditions remain hazardous and the safety of searchers is paramount.
