The Margaret River and Districts Historical Society is looking to the region's community to help them create a historic database of the local men and women who have served in the armed forces in any conflict.

"We would love to share your stories, memorabilia, and photos," said MRDHS President Viv Halsall. "Now is the time to record their stories for the generations to come. Please help us."

Those with information and items to share can visit the school precinct at the Old Settlement by the Margaret River, where they can enjoy a cup of tea and share their knowledge. The society can also assist with collection by arrangement.

"We can also arrange to take copies of your photos if you are happy with that," said Ms Halsall.

"We look forward to hearing from you and we are quite excited by this new project."
