Margaret River Independent School (MRIS) welcomed back two former students last week when Hamish White (left) and Creed McKinnon took a tour around their old school. The close friends graduated from MRIS (formerly Nyindamurra Family School) back in 2011.

Creed McKinnon is studying Systems Development and Design at Cal Poly Technic in California, USA while Hamish White is studying Medicine at the University of Western Australia.

Meanwhile, current students at the school raised more than $185 dollars for the MRIS Sponsor Child, Mohammed by taking part in Pyjama Day. Donning their cosiest sleeping gear, the kids said they enjoyed "just jumping out of bed and coming to school!"

MRIS will be holding its 40th Anniversary next year with an open invitation to all its former students to attend the celebration. The school was established in 1982.

Any MRIS Alumni who would like to attend the event should contact the school on 97577515, via facebook www.facebook.com/margaretriverindependentschool or email office@mris.wa.edu.au.
