Cowaramup Primary School students embraced their annual NAIDOC Week traditions in Term 2 despite the national event being postponed until November.
NAIDOC Week celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Teacher Leesa Mathers said the day was filled with fun, with children forming mixed groups from Kindy to Year 6.
"Activities ranged from sport, art, face painting, spear throwing, building mia mias, games, making language stones, and listening to dreamtime stories," Ms Mathers said.
"All teachers were focused on immersing the students in aboriginal culture and kin.
"This year was a little more low key, although the students and staff enjoyed it thoroughly and the vibe was moorditj!"
