Vasse Soccer Club travelled south to Margaret River for their final away game of the season.
Clear weather contributed to some quality football, and both teams went close to taking the lead in the opening exchanges.
Ajai Bowles then opened the scoring for Vasse with a strong drive into the roof of the net from outside the box. Margaret River responded well and tied the scores up with a well worked team goal.
With scores level, both teams lifted their work rate and created several scoring chances.
In particular, Amy Kelly and Luke Tilloston competed well in midfield, and Ben Blanchard made some important interceptions in defence for the Vasse side.
With half time approaching, Ajai Bowles scored his second goal of the game with another well taken goal.
This again prompted the home side into action, and they tied the scores up shortly afterwards to go into the half time break at 2-2.
Margaret River started the second half strongly, and Vasse goal keeper Mark Kendall made some critical saves got keep the visitors in it.
As the half wore on Vasse began to gain the upper hand and created several goal scoring chances.
Harry Leach almost won it for Vasse with a beautifully taken free kick, only to be denied on the line by a Margaret River defender.
In the end, scores finished 2-2 in what was a very hard fought and enjoyable match for players and spectators alike.
