The students in Year Four class at St Thomas More Catholic Primary School enjoyed a visit the Shire of Augusta Margaret River on 2 September, to deepen their understanding of their local government.
As part of the HASS (Humanities and Social Sciences) curriculum, the students have been learning in class about the role of local government and the services and facilities they provide.
Augusta Margaret River Shire President Ian Earl and Chief Executive Officer Stephanie Addison-Brown took the time to meet with the enthusiastic students, answering their inquisitive and thoughtful questions before concluding with a tour of the shire offices.
