In conjunction with the Western Australian Cricket Academy, the Dunsborough Cricket Club have put their hands up to become a regional hub for girls cricket.
They are welcoming girls to register with the club before the end of the month to join this summer in the junior competition.
Dunsborough Cricket Club junior president Bruce Siney said they wanted to give every girl an opportunity to play.
"There are different formats of junior cricket and we had some younger girls 10 and under last year play in Master Blasters," he said.
"Some of those girls from last year and some new girls will go up into the first stage of proper junior cricket with pads and helmets, which is really exciting.
"I am hoping if we can drum up numbers we might get two teams, which means they can play each other and train together to create a better environment for them."
Mr Siney said the St Mary's Cricket Club also had a stage one girls cricket team along with Manjimup and Leschenault.
Any girls aged from 5 to 10 can register for Master Blasters and 10 to 14 can register for junior cricket at playcricket.com.au.
