Thanks to the support of Lotterywest and the local community, the Margaret River Community Centre will again be assisting individuals and families with over 100 food hampers and children's gifts this Christmas.
"It has been a difficult and uncertain year for a lot of people with the coronavirus, losing jobs and being separated from family members. We hope that the hampers packed by volunteers will take away a bit of stress and bring some warmth to the festive table", said Leanne Sutton.
"The generosity of the Margaret River community shows itself through the extensive range of donations from businesses and organisations that have been distributed through the Community Centre at Christmas time for more than 20 years."
This year Hamper Day will be on Tuesday December 22.
Donations of non-perishables and new toys can be dropped into the box at Riverfresh IGA or brought to the Community Centre from 9am-1pm before December 22.
If you, or someone you know, would like to put your name on the list for a hamper, please call the office on 9757 3200 or visit the office between 9am and 1pm Monday to Friday.
