The Margaret River Masters Football Club is calling for locals to jump on board and join in the fun of the family-focused team environment.
President Stephen Kirby said the team was open to all men over the age of 35 who enjoyed team sports.
"All levels of fitness and skills can be accommodated," explained Mr Kirby.
"Masters football is a great way to get a little bit of fitness while enjoying a fantastic team game.
"You can then be part of the fun social side of football while meeting a diverse range of local guys."
Mr Kirby said the club was inclusive of all walks of life, and kids were encouraged to join their dads at training.
"Many of the players are involved with junior football and are happy to help out the kids," he said.
"Partners are always welcome to come along to enjoy the social side of the football club. Food and drinks are available at the club on Friday nights and can be enjoyed while the guys are training."
Training itself focuses on honing football skills with a little fitness thrown in for good measure.
"Training sessions are always done with a laugh and can be as hard or as easy as each player wants to make it," Mr Kirby said.
Club legend Laurie Praed still plays into his 70s, and was last year inducted into the AFL Masters Hall of Fame.
"Our club prides itself on being part of the community, often contributing in volunteer work for the local Hawks and junior football clubs, and we are a family orientated group," explained player Tom Barnes.
"The whole concept is to involve locals who love their footy and are still keen on having a kick without having to commit to playing every week.
"Masters has full AFL rules with some common sense changes to make sure our players can still turn up for work on Monday.
"We are a club all about having fun with your mates, supporting each other, playing some good competitive footy and nurturing a strong family environment.
"It is a great way for people to feel a part of the community, particularly new people in town, FIFO workers and the like."
The Masters train every Friday night and games are generally held every 2 to 3 weeks to allow plenty of recovery time.
"We play teams from Bunbury all the way down to Albany and everywhere in between. We also finish each year with a Perth carnival against other Masters teams from around the state."
