Australian music royalty comes to town this month, with an appearance at The River Hotel by legendary bluesman, Dave Hole.
Playing tunes from his latest album, 'Goin' Back Down', the chart topping blues guitarist will bring his signature slide sounds and unorthodox playing style to the pub on April 17.
Dave Hole burst onto the international scene in 1991 with his first album, 'Short Fuse Blues', which was picked up by America's most prestigious blues label, Chicago-based Alligator Records.
He has since released a further nine albums; all of which have earned critical acclaim from publications including 'Billboard', 'Guitar Player', 'Guitar World' and 'The Washington Post'.
His "Under The Spell" album won Best Blues and Roots Album at the 1999 Australian ARIA awards.
After struggling to find guitar teachers, the 12 year old Hole began to learn on his own, picking up his own style of playing which sets him apart from other blues guitarists.
Decades of touring across Western Australia gained him a fervent local following while rock critics in the US and UK lauded his distinctive sound and technique.
His explosive live show and innumerable tours of the U.S. and Europe have solidified his stature as one of the very best slide guitarists playing today and have earned him accolades from around the globe.
He has headlined festivals in the USA, and throughout Europe, Brazil, Russia, and Canada.
His most recent album topped AirPlay Direct's global blues chart for three consecutive months in 2018.
