The Margaret River Readers and Writers Festival will present a special event that will give crime fiction fans the chance to hear from one of the genre's finest authors.
Bestselling author Michael Robotham will appear at the virtual event to launch his new pulse-racing thriller, When You Are Mine.
Festival Director Sian Baker said critics had billed it Robotham's finest yet.
"Michael is the bestselling author of The Secrets She Keeps, now a major TV series, The Suspect, Good Girl, Bad Girl and When She Was Good, selling over 6 million copies," Ms Baker said.
"Before he turned his hand to writing novels, Michael was an investigative journalist working across America, Australia and Britain, with clinical and forensic psychologists as they helped police investigate complex, psychologically driven crimes."
Robotham will be joined in conversation by David Whish-Wilson, fellow crime writer and author of the bestselling Frank Swann crime series.
Ms Baker said the event was a chance for locals to support the community arts group.
"This is a fundraising event for Arts Margaret River, creators and presenters of the Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival," she said. "This event promises to be illuminating and exhilarating as we go behind the scenes of the crime genre in the company of two of its heavyweight stars."
In conversation with Michael Robotham is on Wednesday 4 August, from 7pm - 8pm AWST.
Tickets are $5.
A raffle prize of the Michael Robotham back catalogue will be drawn on the night.
