Deputy premier John Barilaro answers regional NSW COVID-19 questions

NSW deputy premier John Barilaro has again met with regional media to talk about the growing COVID-19 outbreak in regional NSW.

The afternoon digital press conference was born out of the need for regional media, who can't attend Premier Gladys Berejiklian's 11am city conference, to have a space to ask questions on behalf of their community.

Of today's 818 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases, 771 were from Sydney Local Health Districts.

Of the other 47 cases, 24 are from Western NSW LHD; three are from Far West LHD, two are from Hunter New England LHD, two are from Central Coast LHD, two are from Illawarra Shoalhaven LHD, and 14 cases are yet to be assigned to an LHD.
