The 2021 Margaret River Region Open Studios program kicks off this week with an exciting list of artists and creatives throwing open their studio doors to welcome visitors on the region's bountiful art trail.
This year, a series of workshops with talented South West artists has been released, with plenty of chances to learn and create along the way.
Food Photography Workshop & Wine Tasting with Sarah Hewer and Jo Perry
Gather round for a guided tasting of new release Dormilona wines and a chat about food photography. Sarah and Jo will cover some simple approaches that can transform your food photography. The skills they'll cover can be used with any type of camera including smartphones.

Pull up a stool and gather round the table for a guided tasting of new release Dormilona wines and a chat about inspiration, creativity and storytelling in art and wine between photographer Sarah Hewer and winemaker Jo Perry.

Twined Basket Weaving with Cynamon Aeria
This workshop is aimed for those basket weavers who want to develop their skills in the traditional basketry style of Twined Basket Weaving. Suitable for adults with some basketry (or rope) experience, and with a moderate level of hand dexterity.

Mindful Stitching with Nirala Hunt
Take some quiet time for yourself with the soothing rhythms of hand stitching. There is no plan, no 'right way'. You may find a story hidden in your work, a visual type of journaling you may like to share.
