Wills Domain has announced the appointment of celebrated WA chef Jed Gerrard to the team.
After tenures at COMO the Treasury and Ritz-Carlton Hotels in Perth, steering restaurants Wildflower and Hearth to multiple chef's hats and awards, Gerrard will now look to the South West with a fresh direction, revamping the Yallingup restaurant as it transforms its site offerings.
"I'm excited to work with the very talented, hardworking and passionate team at Wills Domain, as well as having the opportunity to connect more with nature while supporting the amazing local producers and produce of the southwest," he said.
Wills Domain Managing Director Darren Haunold said Gerrard's appointment would allow the venue to move into a new phase.
"We are so pleased to have the opportunity to bring yet another very talented and accomplished chef as Jed to our operation and we look forward to evolving our bespoke dining experience at Wills domain under his experience, culture and guidance," Haunold said.
"We acknowledge we are lucky to have a depth of very talented chefs in our kitchen to support Jed's transition and hope to develop a new team culture and service style for the restaurant.
"Our region is developing a fine reputation for outstanding food and wine experiences and Margaret River includes a range of very talented chefs and operations.
"We believe Jed's appointment reinforces our commitment to remaining among the best venues in WA and the region's capacity to inspire chefs to support regional producers."
Gerrard's new menu will be launched on Friday November 19, with bookings available for a special 5 course menu launch event.
