Antony Catalano-led media company ACM has announced the launch of a new brand, View Insurance, bringing together some of Australia's leading home, car, pet, landlord and business insurance offerings.
With its website viewinsurance.com.au now live, View Insurance will be featured from this week across the print and digital platforms of ACM's 14 daily newspapers including The Canberra Times, Newcastle Herald, Illawarra Mercury, The Courier in Ballarat and The Examiner in Launceston.
Mr Catalano, ACM's executive chairman, said View Insurance was "a natural extension of the View brand as we look to further build the penetration into the ACM markets and beyond".
ACM already operates a $100 million joint-venture with listings portal realestateview.com.au, which last year replaced Domain as the property brand across ACM's nation-wide network.
ACM has also launched local news magazines under the Review brand, including the Northern Beaches Review in Sydney.
Mr Catalano said the launch of View Insurance would deliver the communities served by ACM's trusted mastheads an easy way to access excellent insurance products.
"Everyone needs to insure the things they love but we wanted to do things a bit differently," Mr Catalano said.
"View Insurance and its direct association with ACM's network of 142 mastheads will not only help to keep quality local journalism strong but we are committing an amount equal to 2 per cent of each individual premium to the Kindness Factory to help them bring their Kind Schools Network to schools across the ACM network.
"We call it 'policies with heart'," Mr Catalano said.
The Kindness Factory is a charity established by former cricketer Kath Koschel to inspire people to random acts of kindness and has evolved to include the Kindness Schools Network, which helps schools embed attributes of kindness into lessons so that children have the coping skills for life's challenges.
"We think the work that Kath and the team do is fantastic and we couldn't think of a better cause to support," Mr Catalano said.
"Protecting our most valuable assets is important to all of us and now with View Insurance, simply by insuring your home you will also be helping our kids learn about the importance of kindness in all of our lives and the role it can play in managing our own mental health."
View Insurance's Michael Carollo said he was excited to be working with Australia's largest independent media company to establish a new brand with a different attitude and approach.
"The regions are growing quicker than ever before and through our partnership with ACM we can reach an audience of 6.4 million each month," he said.
"We plan to help as many of them as we can with market-leading insurance products and help them protect the things they love. We're hoping to change their view on insurance."
Mr Carollo said his passionate and experienced team were focused on delivering clients "an easy way to access insurance products with great coverage".
"You can get an online quote with one of our carefully selected insurance partners or pick up the phone if you would like an insurance specialist to find a product that works for you," he said.
