A RECORD number of 800 children competed in the Junior Anaconda race on the weekend.
Spokesman for the event’s organising group Rapid Ascent Chris Ord said the number of junior entrants had to be capped at 800 as they couldn’t run the event with more than that.
Juniors aged 4-13 raced through a 4.5km obstacle course.
“It was all about fun, participation, fitness and being outdoors,” Chris said.
