WHALES, dolphins, fish, birds, wildlife and a plague of rabbits – are out and about in Augusta at the moment and might make suitable subjects for the annual photographic competition.
The theme this year is Augusta’s Edge – A natural Vision which might include the edge of the ocean, waterways or the forest, and there are micro and macro categories, with prizes for photographers aged under 18, over 18 and People’s Choice.
As an incentive for people to submit entries early, competition organisers, on behalf of the Augusta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, have 10 publications from the Department of Environment and Conservation as interim prizes.
They will be given to the first 10 entries lodged at Margaret River Photographics, starting today and until all 10 publications are gone.
Competition entry forms are available at margaretriver.com and www.augustacci.org.au. Cost is $5 per photo and photographs and entry forms can be lodged at Margaret River Photographics or Augusta Visitor Centre.
Entries close 5pm Friday, August 24.
