COWARAMUP Bay Boardriders have invited people to grab a board and gear up for their Family Fun Day in Gracetown this weekend.
The occasion will act as a membership drive for the junior surf club but the main aim is to have a great day out, club co-ordinator Lucas Englert said.
"It's our first event of the year," Mr Englert said.
"There'll be a tag team surfing event. This is the first time we've done it."
In four teams, children and their family members will catch two waves each to score as many points as possible.
"It's a little different from the stock-standard surf comp and the siblings can come be a part of it," Mr Englert said.
There will also be a tug of war game, team paddle races and flag races, followed by a barbecue and drinks.
Mr Englert said there were about 45 club members but more were always welcome.
Running 7.30am to noon, the family day will be held near Lefty's surf break or at Gallows, on either Saturday or Sunday, depending on the surf conditions.
