It was a great game on Saturday with second and third on the Under 13s ladder playing in the preliminary knock out final for a Grand Final spot in the Margaret River Junior Football competition for the year.
The Tigers came out strong in the first quarter with the Cowaramup Bulls fighting back to see the scores even half way through the fourth quarter.
Spectators could not have hoped for better football action, with it being anybody’s game the whole way through ensuring plenty of anxious parents were waiting and cheering on their teams from the side lines.
In the last few minutes Tigers player Harvey Fisher was able to score a goal and Gus Stubbs secured a point to guarantee the final winning points for the Tigers.
It is a credit to both clubs to have these upcoming Hawks performing so well in a close competition on the day and promises a strong season next year as more young players hone their skills and sportsmanship on the field.
The Under 13s Grand Final will be played this Saturday September 9 from 11am at Gloucester Park when the Tigers will take on the Sharks.
The canteen and football club will be open for spectators and supporters and all locals are welcome to attend.
