The Department of Fire and Emergency Services downgraded their bush fire advice on Monday night after a fire broke out south east of Margaret River.
The emergency alert was downgraded to a bush fire advice, with residents bounded by Scott River Road to the east, Strucels Road to the south, Blackwood River to the west and Marsh Road to the north urged to stay alert and ready to leave should conditions change.
The fire started near the intersection of Brockman Highway and Beck Road in Courtenay, and was brought under control with the efforts of around 30 firefighters from brigades surrounding the area.
People bounded by Brockman Highway to the north, Courtney Road to the east, Payne Road to the south and Wall Road to the west have been given the all clear.
The DFES advice said the danger had passed but firefighters would remain at the location to monitor the fire overnight.
