For those who’ve enjoyed stepping into the Christmas spirit, ‘Carols By The Beach’ is on again this Christmas Eve.
Long-term attender and this year’s MC, Gordo Wilson said “It’s one of the best, most relaxed ways to enjoy Christmas Eve each year.”
The Carols event held at the White Elephant Café by the Baptist Church has been running since 2011.
Mr Wilson commented “I’ve been coming for 5 years now, and it’s always been a low key, come-as-you-are, sing in-or-out of tune, family-friendly-celebration time for the community.”
Professional musicianss from the church are looking forward to dusting off some carols, with a simple PA to make sure everyone’s in time.
“It’s an easy way for those who feel disconnected in the community to be a part of something united for Christmas.
“Long term local, just moved to town, or just passing through we’d love to see you down there for this uniquely Margaret River experience on Christmas Eve.”
Though crowds at the beach swelled past 300 people last year, there was plenty of room to pull up a rug on the sand, go for a swim then join in the singing for a start time of 6.30pm.
“Word sheets will be handed out and we’ll finish on time to watch the sunset.”
Carols by the Beach starts at 6.30pm on Monday December 24 at the White Elephant Cafe, Gnarabup.
