Local live music legends Pete Matthews and The Three Day Locals will bring their South West-tinged brand of original folk, blues and grooves to the Settlers Tavern verandah this weekend for the traditional afternoon Sunday session.
An accomplished songwriter and performer, Matthews' soulful vocals and self-penned eclectic compositions take the punter on a journey of love life and waves.
The Robbie Bruce or Neal James combo on sax and harmonica are both local favourites and bring their classic Margs charm to the set, which has become a firm favourite of local music fans around the region.
Covering classics from Bob Marley to the Stray Cats, to Elvis with a twist, and spiced with Matthews' tasteful original tunes, the Tav Sunday session is the place to be.
Pete Matthews and the Three Day Locals play Settlers Tavern on Sunday May 5 from 3pm. Entry is free.
Coming up at the Tav:
Rock and roll, rockabilly and garage go-go with CrashCreole, featuring WA music identity Graham Johnson on drums, young gun virtuoso Kieran Barnes on upright bass, and crusty salt dog rocker Mat Bob Creole on guitar and vox. Friday 10th May, 9:30pm. Free Entry.
Catch Texas-born, NYC-native and veteran road warrior Bret Moseley in a special Sunday session featuring his stunning original roots-Americana-indie folk tunes. Sunday May 12, 3pm. Free Entry.
