Round one of the Margaret River Under 9s Junior Football season kicked off on Saturday with all the Margaret River teams showing off their amazing new guernseys and colours.
The sunshine hung in there for the young players while Hawks Navy met Hawks Orange in what was a fast paced first match between the two sides, showcasing some great tackling, marking and kicking skills.
If the first round is anything to go by, there is more exciting football ahead for the teams this season.
Coaches awards went to Rupert Ensor, Jarrah Davies and Brodie John for their efforts on the field.
