Last week's Tuesday Veterans 9-hole Stableford competition saw John Agnew in first place with 21c/b points. Garrick Masters came in second place with 21 points and Colin Andrews was third with 19c/b points. Wednesday Women's 18-hole Stroke/Putting competition was sponsored by Kerry Farrelly and Joan Garstone, and had Rosemary Basford first on 74c/b points. Wendy Chidgey came second on 74 points and Sarah Roddy was third with 76 points. Thursday Men's Scroungers Stroke Red Tee Day event was sponsored by Ray & Jenny Scott. Dean Kemp was again first this week on 63 points while Terry Halsall was second on 64c/b and Chris Munachen third also on 64c/b. Saturday's 18-hole Men's Stableford was cancelled due to bad weather. Sunday's Mixed 18-hole Mixed 4BBB Stableford was sponsored by Di Linfoot and welcomed 34 players coming out to brave the rain. Pierre Every & Graeme Bedggood took first place on 44 points, Penny Foy & Michael Kelly were second with 42c/b points and in third was Anne and Jim Kendra on 42 points.
There was another win for Kerry Farrelly and Sue Bloxam as they took out the South West Ladies Foursomes Championships at Capel Golf Club in some very wet weather. Congratulations to Kerry and Sue, who are both fantastic representatives of the hearty and skilled competition amongst the talented lady golfers of the Margaret River Golf Club.
