The Margaret River Theatre Group is on the hunt for an experienced character actress to take part in their next dramatic production.
According to director Peter Kirkwood, the play will be staged in late October to early November at HEART.
"'The Woman Who Cooked Her Husband' is a highly entertaining, jet black comedy, so wicked that it will make your toes curl.
"Told through a series of flashbacks, the play is an in-depth exploration of relationships, betrayal, love, lies, jealousy, passion, humiliation, deceit, and good food. 'The Woman Who Cooked Her Husband' is a play for three actors, has very little set and only one prop, therefore strong characterisation and a certain amount of mime skills are essential requirements."
The group is looking for an actress to take on the role of Laura (stage age 25 - 35ish) as the 'other' woman.
"The role is demanding but will be very satisfying for any actress wanting to demonstrate her acting skills by appearing in a very, very entertaining and thought provoking piece of theatre."
Those keen to find out more about the production and who think they may fill the requirements for the role should make contact with Mr Kirkwood on 0435 503 639.
