The Margaret River Hockey girls 9-12 team won the Grand Final on Friday night against the unbeaten top side, Robins.
It was a replay of the 2018 Final which saw Robins take the glory. The high intensity of the rematch saw both teams come out with fire in their bellies and determination to take the flag.
Margaret River fought hard to go into half time with scores level at nil all. Robins came out hungry and were rewarded with the first goal in the third quarter.
Nerves were evident but they never gave up and continued to fight back until Ashlee Jarvis scored a goal for the Margies girls in the fourth quarter, to once again level the score at 1-1.
With the game all tied up at the final whistle, it went into over time. After ten nail biting minutes, there was still no result and the game progressed to one-on-ones (attacker vs goalie) best of five.
Helena Williams, Jade McLean, Ashlee Jarvis and Chloe Altmann scored for Margaret River before it was time for the side's sensational goalie Matilda England-Brassy to show off her skills.
She managed to stop two goals, meaning the fifth shot was unnecessary.
With the score at 5-3, Margaret River headed home with the premiers flag, as their supporters erupted in cheers and the team song echoed around the ground.
Kiri Mann was named Player of the Match, while the club thanked supporters including major sponsor, Priceline Margaret River, for their efforts over the season.
