A five goal bag for Busselton's Mitch Howlett played a big part in the team's away win over the Eaton Boomers in round four of the South West Football League.
The Magpies were out of the blocks fast, kicking four goals and five behinds in the first quarter.
Busselton were incredibly inaccurate in the second term, kicking just one goal and 6 behinds. This allowed Eaton to creep closer with two goals.
The wind must of been howling in the right direction for the Magpies in the third quarter as they kicked away with five goals to Eaton's one.
The Boomers had more scoring shots in the last, but couldn't capitalise with just two goals and five behinds. While the Magpies stayed in a comfortable lead with two goals.
The final score was 8.10(58) to 13.13 (91).
Busselton have now secured themselves third place on the league ladder.
The first game of the round was up the hill at Collie when they hosted Harvey Brunswick Leschenault.
Collie were within reach of the lead at three quarter time after keeping HBL goalless for that quarter.
However, the Lions were effective up forward in the last term with four goals to Collie's two.
The final score was 9.6(60) to 11.16(82).
The Augusta Margaret River Hawks enjoyed another win when they hosted Donnybrook.
It was Donnybrook that came out strong in the first but then lacked accuracy and scoring opportunities in the second.
The Hawks were able to take advantage of this and gained the lead by three quarter time.
The final score was 11.14(80) to 6.10(46).
Bunbury had another percentage boosting win when they played South Bunbury at Hands Oval.
Bulldog Jordan Adamson-Holmes kicked another bag with seven goals to his name.
While Bunbury was raining goals, the Tigers could only manage three majors for the game.
The final score was 3.4(22) to 16.18(114).
Carey Park were able to get off the bottom of the ladder when they were victorious over Harvey Bulls.
The Panthers were 15 points behind at half time and narrowed the margin to 10 points at the last break.
A six goal quarter by Carey Park ensured they finished with a win.
The final score was 12.12(84) to 8.8(56).
Busselton women's side are sitting pretty in second place on the ladder after their narrow win over Eaton.
The Magpies kept their opponents goalless in the first half.
Eaton frightened the Magpies in the third term with two goals and getting within three points of the lead.
However the Magpies were able to keep the Boomers scoreless in the last quarter while kicking four behinds to edge out the lead.
The final score was 2.8(20) to 3.9(27).
It will be a top of the table clash in the womens when Busselton host South Bunbury.
It will be an incredibly tough ask for the Magpies as South Bunbury have won each game so far by a big margin.
The other women's matches saw Harvey defeat Carey Park by 11 points and South Bunbury by 30 points.
