Margaret Rivers Jack Robinson has finished third place at the Tweed Coast Pro this week at Cabarita in what was professional surfing's return to competition in 2020.

The event was part of the Australian Grand Slam of Surfing which next stop is in Queensland and then continues onto Margaret River.

Both of Australia's male Olympic Team members Owen Wright and Julian Wilson were eliminated in the Quarterfinals by the eventual winner Ethan Ewing and 2020 Tour Rookie Jack Robinson showing the future of Australian surfing is in strong hands.

Robinson fell just short in his semi final heat but was on fire all event, showing his skills in beach breaks are just as strong as in the heavy reef breaks.

"I'm stoked to be back competing and be part of this event! Looking forward to the next one and thanks to the WSL for making it happen" said Robinson after the contest.

Forecast: Thursday is looking good with some ENE winds and a fun sized swell at small wave locations.

Friday will have NNE winds and a smaller 1.2m swell. The weekend brings onshore WSW winds and a rising swell which will get up to 4m on Sunday with SSW winds.
