Ever popular Margaret River band Ten Cent Shooters are heading back to Settlers Tavern for another of their beloved verandah sessions.
On Sunday March 21 the Shooters will take advantage of the wonderful autumn weather and deliver a cracking set featuring 1920s and '30s country blues from both well-known and obscure artists, with acoustic and resophonic guitars, mandolin, harmonica and slap string bass making an irresistible combination.
Local musician Scott Wise (mandolin, guitar, vocals, harmonica) has been playing with Peter Woodward (guitar, vocals) since 1979.
"That year we formed a country blues string band called The Sesquicentennial Syncopators but changed the band's name to The Ten Cent Shooters pretty quickly," he said.
"The current lineup of the Shooters has been playing since 1992. So we're coming up for a 30th anniversary next year, all being well.
"We love playing at Settlers and these autumn afternoons are perfect for what we do."
The music starts at 4pm on Sunday March 21, and goes until dark.
